Another year comes to an end. This was a stellar year, but I’m so excited for what’s still to come 🙂

My 2014 resolution was to write two books. That’s been my resolution for the last few years, and I kept failing for personal life reasons, BUT THIS YEAR, I DID IT!

HPcelebrate

The first book was The Infinite, the sequel to Gates of Thread and Stone. And I just turned in first pass pages a couple weeks ago, so that’s some crazy sauce right there. Then I won NaNoWriMo with a new fantasy WIP that I’m still revising. Super excited about this one 🙂

My 2015 resolution will be to write at least one new book (probably the final book in the Gates of Thread and Stone series). Two books if I can manage it. *fingers crossed*

2014 Highlights of a personal bookish nature:

♥ My first book released! I’ve dreamed of this since I was a little girl. It’s the wildest and most humbling feeling to be able to say I’m a published author.

♥ I attended my first book conference in Chicago, and it was lovely. I got to meet my agent and my CP, and it was awesome. I also went to Vegas for my first book festival and got to meet a ton of authors I’ve only ever fangirled at online.

♥ Wrote the sequel that’s to be released next year in March o_o

♥ The two books I wrote this year put my grand total of books ever written at seven. Seven books! Most of them will never see publication, but I’m still pretty proud of myself 🙂

♥ My ridiculously talented CP Lauren Teffeau got an agent. I’m so crazy happy for her. Her book is PHENOMENAL, and I’ve got all fingers and toes crossed that she’ll be able to share it with the world someday soon.

♥ My awesome friend Jaime Loren’s debut NA Waiting for April was contracted with Momentum Books, a digital-first imprint of Pan Macmillan Australia. It’ll be released February 12 (My birthday!), and I’m so excited for her!!!

Have a wonderful new year, friends!

  4. Wow! Congratulations on accomplishing your two-books-in-2014 goal! With that and putting out your debut, you must have had a crazy year! I haven’t done NaNoWriMo yet because of the timing (I ALWAYS seem to be revising in November), but I have great respect for anyone who has won it.

Happy 2015! May it be even better than 2014!

    • Thanks, Caryn 🙂 Maybe you can join in the NaNo craziness this year. But if not, you can always make ANY month your own personal NaNo challenge!

  5. HAPPY NEW YEAR!! You are fab! Keep writing those books I love to read and I’ll keep blabbing my feelings for them all over the web. And truly, from my heart, really, thanks because I need my “get lost in books” to keep sane in my life. As Pili always says… *squishy hugs*
