I can’t believe it’s 2016. This is crazy sauce.

My 2015 resolution was to write one book, two if I could manage it. I didn’t manage it 😦 And I also didn’t write the book I thought I would.

I’d planned to finish the final GoTaS book, and while I’ve outlined the whole thing, I haven’t gotten around to doing more than a few chapters. Mostly this is because I’ve been working on that fantasy WIP I wrote for NaNo in 2014. I ended up scrapping 3/4 of it, and then rewriting nearly the entire thing. It’s the longest book I’ve ever written at around 110k words, and it’s also the book I’ve spent the longest working on. But it’s also one of my favorite books I’ve ever written, and I hope someday I’ll be able to share it with everyone.

I’m going back to aiming for two books this year, the final GoTaS book and hopefully something new. Fingers crossed!

2015 Bookish Highlights:

♥ My second book released! It’s truly the most amazing feeling in the world to see my books in the hands of readers.

♥ I went on my first writing retreat and got to meet a bunch of my writing heroes/friends as well as reunite with my fabulous CP.

Gates of Thread and Stone released in Germany. I can’t even express how cool this is to me.

♥ A friend wrote fanfiction for GoTaS, and I freaked the freak out. I know, I know, I’M SUCH A DORK.

♥ So many friends this year got agents and/or book deals, and I am brimming with excitement for them! In fact, I’m utterly in awe of all the writers I met when I was still agent hunting who are now agented, published, multi-published, and/or bestsellers. They all inspire me ♥

Have a wonderful new year, friends!

  2. A while ago, I think it was in 2015 not 2014, you shared a excerpt from one of your friend’s books on Tumblr. Do you remember which author that was? Again, please don’t pinch me. I know I can be annoying. 😀
